The Shenzhen Splendid China Folk Culture Village was a great way to visit many of the places with historical significance in Chinese history without having to do more than take a long walk through a huge garden. We saw a scaled-down version of the Great Wall, many temples and Imperial Palaces, tombs and Buddhas. It helped us put the lengthy, colorful history of this country in perspective at the very beginning of our time here.

What beautiful scenery!!! OBAMA! OBAMA! OBAMA! That is the highlite in the states right now. Watching the scene in Chicago last nite was moving. What a moment in history. The weather here in Ft. Wayne hit 72 F today, awesome, huh? The kids are having a great time playing with Lady Dog. I don't think that the dog had any idea what was going to hit her (literally-ask Sonia) We all miss you much, and have marked your return on our calender. We love seeing the pictures and hope that your cultural experience is all that you hoped it would be. Can't wait to see more.
