C/M/T/HK Trip Day 1

We arrived after 15 and 1/2 hours of flying from Chicago O'Hara to Hong Kong. The plane was almost full. The economy class seating is very tight and we felt wedged into place for most of that time. We managed to sleep a couple of hours, a few sudoku puzzles and read travel guides for China and Hong Kong. We met Vivian right after passing through customs and took the bus to her parent's apartment for dinner. The photos are from their apartment on the 39th floor. Vivian's mother cooked our first wonderful meal in Hong Kong. We took a rental van to Shenzhen, China for our first nights sleep. We are exhausted but thankful for a safe trip.

  1. Great to hear you made it safely! That view from the apartment is incredible, and the food looks great too. Did you eat the eyeballs?

  5. This is so cool to get to follow the trip like this. The views look amazing, and like you're right in the middle of all the action! I can't wait to hear more about the food. I ditto Andrew and Glenda's question...and did you eat the tail? Please continue to take photos of the food....
